Scaredy Cat

An orange tabby I knew

a dapper gentlecat

He liked to spend his time

a-listening to Jazz

Jazz Cat Jay they called him

and he also played the sax

and thus he was the favourite

of all the lady cats.

Jay’s always on the job

However this story, I’m afraid is sad

because this handsome fella

– my friend it’ll give you pause,

For all his many talents, a scaredy cat he was.
