Today, I didn’t buy Swing music *gasp*

I got an iTunes gift card.

For the first time in, oh, I don’t know, ever, I bought music in Spanish. Nothing to do with Lindy Hop, Blues or Black Gospel.

I got music from Buena Vista Social Club, Gloria Estefan, Mocedades and others. Music I grew up with.

Good stuff.

This is my favourite salsa song ever. Gitana (Gypsy woman) by Willie Colón

Doesn’t it make you want to get up and dance?

I like me some Buena Vista Social Club (I’m a little indifferent to Gloria Estfan). Willie Colon is very cool, too. I can’t understand the words, but the feeling is easy to translate. Excellent choices.

      Thanks! :)

I don’t care one bit for Gloria Estefan’s stuff in English but her Spanish albums are all great. All about her Cuban roots with beautiful rhythms and lyrics. All great for dancing too. And you know me, I’m all about dancing

Got something to say?
