Well, I finally lost my marbles

Actually, I was never in possession of any marbles. I was born marbleless.

However, my friends, I consider that an asset. As other – very wise people, have pointed out:

“I am not eccentric. It’s just that I am more alive than most people. I am an unpopular electric eel set in a pond of catfish.”
― Edith Sitwell

And holy cow, can I ever be unpopular sometimes. Then, there’s this one:

Of course eccentrics are happy, they’re loony toons. They don’t know they aren’t supposed to be anything but joyous.
JAN HORNUNG, This Is the Truth, as Far as I Know: I Could Be Wrong

That’s why I am a bundle of giggles most of the time. Unless I am a bundle of tears. In that case, I am not joyous. But then… oh, look! washi tape!!!! and I am back to being a bundle of giggles and squeeeeeeees again.

The Geeks’ Flat is witnessing a lot of nesting efforts lately. One the the areas with the fastest growing rate is my Art(s) [& Crafts] Nook. It started as a Drawing Nook, with sketch pads, drawing markers, colour pencils, sketch pencils, a couple of Really Useful boxes and an original TJ Lubrano*.

My little art(s) [& crafts] nook is coming along nicely. Note the super geeky and super environmentally conscious solar-powered lamp. And my Yoda bucket.

But as of late, it has seen a fast transformation that includes lots of washi tape, scrap-booking paper and a few other goodies. It’s all related to the cryptic messages of late, both from me and from the fiance but unfortunately you’ll have to stay tuned for the news cause the Geeks are not quite ready to spill the beans just yet.

Wooden letters and washi tape. Craziness. Also, note the washi tape dispenser… beautified with pretty washi tape

As an aside, the whole flat has been pervaded by washi tape. Everywhere you look, washi tape. And pretty masking tape too.

And since those washi tapes are pretty much in our wedding palette colours, methinks they’ll end up being part of #GeekSquaredWedding

Thing is, nowadays I spend most of my time on Pinterest looking at DIY stuff. Yes, Jen and Sara, you may laugh at me. You know, weddings are truly magical when it comes to turning brides into mad DIYers. What can I say…

WASHI TAPE FTW

That’s it for now. Maybe tomorrow I’ll take you for a tour of the flat’s bathroom

* I you don’t own a TJ Lubrano original you are seriously missing out

I LOVE your little arts and crafts corner there! I wish I could have one… I’m so unsettled all the time, I can never have things like this because like now I am living in a tiny room and so I do my art whilst sitting on my bed!

Enjoy your spaces! Very cool :p

Got something to say?
