After seeing the logos I made for Summer Solstice Musings and Geek Squared Art, my daughter asked me if I would make one for her.
I was like, seriously? You want me to make a logo for you?
Remember, she’s a successful Lindy Hop performer, teacher and choreographer. Not to mention a badass businesswoman.
In all honesty, 1. I don’t remember if I already shared the logos with you, and 2. I’m too lazy to go look so I’ll put them here just in case.
Anyway, then I was like, are you kidding? Of course I’ll make you a logo!
And so I made this:
She was so happy with it, she asked if I could alter it a little to be used as her deejay persona’s logo.
I said give me two seconds (I have no clue what’s with the brown mamba thing)
Then she asked me if I could whip up something for an event she was deejaying at that weekend.
I said give me a couple of hours and the picture you’d like me to use for it. Below is what I came up with. Very simple but badass. Picture by Andrés Gómez Fotografía. Andrés, the photographer, is my daughter’s cousin and every time she goes to Colombia, they collaborate to produce some amazing photographs which you can see on my daughter’s Facebook Page
And then! And then, out of the blue, I got a message just the other day.
I was a mutual old friend asking me if I would be interested in making a logo for her practice and how much would I charge for it. She is a Veterinarian doctor.
I’m sitting there reading the message and being like, say what? How did you even knew I could do such thing?
I guess she saw the Facebook posts or something.
Anyway, I said yes. I think it is coming along nicely.
I’ll keep you posted. But for now, I’ll leave you with my favourite couples routine of all the ones my daughter has choreographed and danced. This one, she co-choreographed with her dance partner.

Looks like a whole new career is about to take off! Well deserved – you have the eye and now the ability :D
Heh I could have not imagine that, not in a million years. But it’s fun. Who knew? Well, you did! :)
