What an intense 24 hours!

It was only 24 hours but they felt like an eternity.  I really don’t understand why I let it affect me so much but I kinda panicked.

I thought I had a place to stay until Monday.  I even had to backup plans, just in case.  At the last minute, they all fell through.  The person where I was staying freaked out and told me last night I had to leave.

For a while I freaked out too.  I felt I was stranded in a city where I don’t know a lot of people.  And the few ones I know, I asked but they couldn’t host me.

I am travelling with a very limited budget so staying at a hotel was out of the question.

I seriously considered taking the bus back to Ottawa.  I cried a lot and didn’t know what to do.  I set the alarm for 9 am (or so I thought) and then cried myself to sleep. Continue reading
